Ken Fuellbier from the office of Congresswoman Debbie Lesko presented Kristin Slice, senior program manager with Peoria Forward at Arizona State University, with Arizona’s District 8 congressional recognition.
The award comes for her work with Peoria Forward and One Million Cups.
Peoria Forward is a partnership between ASU Entrepreneurship + Innovation and the city of Peoria which provide tools, innovations and support to leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators to build a self-sustaining entrepreneurial ecosystem in the West Valley.
Ms. Slice also organizes One Million Cups, a networking group dedicated to bringing together outside-the-box thinkers and young entrepreneurs ready to pitch their ideas to the community.
“Entrepreneurship and innovation are key to Arizona’s success,” Ms. Lesko said in a news release. “By bringing young entrepreneurs and innovators together with Peoria Forward and One Million Cups, Kristin helps the West Valley thrive. Thank you, Kristin, for your work in our community to foster the entrepreneurial spirit!”
