Everyone is invited to take part. This is a great way to join the conversation on community issues in an informal and neutral space.
The majority of contact law enforcement has with the public happens during emergencies or emotional situations. Those situations are not always the most effective times to build relationships with the community. Often the public feel officers are unapproachable on the street. Coffee with a Cop breaks down barriers and allows for relaxed, one-on-one interactions.
During Coffee with a Cop Day, Peoria Police will be selling their new Pink Patches to raise money for our local breast cancer charity partner, Check for a Lump.
