TYR Tactical in Peoria named 2020 Pine District business of year

Posted

Peoria Councilmember Denette Dunn recognized and awarded TYR Tactical as the Pine District’s business of the year for 2020.

TYR Tactical owners Jason and Jane Beck were recognized for their contribution to the economic well-being and quality of life in Peoria and the Pine District.

The family-owned business uniquely focuses on tactical gear for special operations forces worldwide, federal agencies, and law enforcement locally and internationally.

Their 84,000 square foot manufacturing business employs over 270 individuals. They are currently working on a 45,000 square foot expansion which will provide over 80 more jobs to the local workforce. The new jobs will also include individuals affiliated with Arizona Industries for the Blind, integrating the talent and skills of those who are impaired.

Ms. Dunn said TYR Tactical is dedicated to economically impacting the City of Peoria, and the company is also committed to supporting a great number of local charitable organizations.

Ms. Dunn presented the award specifically designed with symbolic colors: blue representing military and first responders, gold representing economic contribution, and green representing the Pine District.

She thanked the Beck family for their contribution to the City of Peoria and its first responders.
