Tice: I'm voting Pingerelli for state legislature

Posted

I am a cybersecurity analyst working for a major corporation in the Valley. I have lived in Arizona for 21 years.

I have been an independent voter for my entire voting career, or 33 years.

I have always felt that a candidate should be judged on their individual beliefs and values, not those of a larger party.

The main reason that I endorse Beverly Pingerelli is quite simple.

Beverly has many of the same beliefs and values that I do. She has shown these as a Peoria Unified School District governing board member for the last five years, as well as in her personal family life. I have known Beverly and her family for the last 16 years since they first moved down the street from my family.

She is very a strong, intelligent, woman who has raised two equally strong and intelligent daughters. She tirelessly provides assistance to her husband, Peter, and also cared for her mother-in-law while she battled cancer. While doing all this, she still manages to hold down full and part-time jobs, and find the time to support the community.

As a school board member, Beverly has always done her best to balance the educational needs of the district's children, faculty, and staff with the need to be fiscally responsible with the school budget for the sake of the community.

Trust me, this is no easy feat, and not always popular either. Then again, Beverly did not run for the school board to be popular.

I believe that Beverly Pingerelli is the right candidate for LD21 because she cares for the residents of this district, and will fight for the issues that matter most to them.
