Theater Works announces 2020-21 season show lineup
Peoria stage will feature classics, comedies, musicals

Theater Works, located at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts, 10580 N. 83rd Dr., announced its 35th season of shows, for 2020-21.
“Producing Artistic Director Chris Hamby has, yet again, brought together shows that will make you laugh, tap your toes and, above all, bring a smile to your face,” a theater news release states. “TheaterWorks’ 35th season brings together Tony Award-winners, hilarious comedies, beloved classics and rousing musicals.”
The season kicks off with the summer show “Newsies: The Broadway Musical” July 10-26, followed by “Mary Poppins” (Aug. 28-Sept. 13, in Gyder Theater), “Steel Magnolias” (Oct. 2-18, Gyder Theater), “A Christmas Carol” (Dec. 4-20, Gyder Theater), “Fiddler On The Roof” (Feb. 19–March 7, 2021, Gyder Theater), “The Last Roundup of the Guacamole Queens” (March 19–April 4, 2021, McMillin Theater) and “Nunsense” (April 2-18, 2021, Gyder Theater).
Current season ticket holders will be given the opportunity to renew season tickets with and guarantee seats at a special price. New season ticket buyers can purchase a package.s
On Sunday, March 1 single tickets will go on sale to the summer show. Season subscribers have until then to secure seats.
Single tickets to all shows in the 2020-21 season will go on sale July 1.
