Take the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot in Peoria

Posted

Work up an appetite before the big holiday meal at this year's Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot.

The Arizona Road Racers are hosting this year’s event on Thursday, Nov. 23, from 8 to 10:30 a.m.

All races begin and end at the Peoria Sports Complex, 16101 N. 83rd Avenue.

This event features three distances: 5K, 1 Mile, and 10 Mile.

For the safety of participants and course workers, there is a 10:30 a.m. cutoff. This equals a 15 minute/mile pace.

The top 3 finishers in every age group for every race wins pies.  Finisher medals are awarded in each race.

Race registration ends at 5:59 a.m. on race day.

Proceeds from the race support the Peoria Diamond Club, providing grants to many local charities including Special Olympics Arizona.
