Student entrepreneurs hold Kid Biz Market for Peoria community

Get ready for the Kid Biz Market.

Frontier Elementary School students in grades five through eight will showcase their entrepreneurial skills from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 12 at Fletcher Heights Park, adjacent to the elementary school, 21258 N 81st Ave., at the Kid Biz Market.

Nearly 30 student business vendors will set up a booth at the Kid Biz Market, selling anything from handmade crafts to delicious treats.

The Kid Biz Market is the brainchild of Frontier Elementary School PTSO president Natalee Sticht, who oversees the Kid Biz after-school class that meets every Wednesday. The purpose of the class is for students to learn about entrepreneurship, fostering skills in idea generation, product development, teamwork, and basic business principles through hands-on activities and projects.

Frontier Elementary School students have been preparing for this event for seven weeks and will join other business owners on April 12 to reveal their hard work.

The public can expected the following vendors, and more:

• Soda floats

• Facepainting

• Christian sportswear

• Drawings

• Jewelry

• Keychains and water bottle charms

• Homemade baked goods
