Somos Peoria, the multicultural festival celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, returns to Peoria this month.
This city-sponsored signature event goes from 4 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 in Old Town Peoria, between Washington and Jefferson streets at 83rd Avenue. The night’s headlining band is Ozomatli, topping a bill that also includes Color Me Badd and Mariachi Divas.
In addition to live music, festivalgoers have the opportunity to sample a variety of traditional foods, beer and margaritas, shop arts and crafts, and enjoy celebrated Hispanic activities such as Ballet Folklorico, lucha libre, strolling mariachis, and a low-rider car display.
General admission is free. VIP tickets are available here.
