The Scottsdale Gallery Association will host a specially themed Gold Palette ArtWalk in correlation with the City of Scottsdale’s June Days summer spectacular, which celebrates the season and honors the city’s 70th anniversary.
The Gold Palette ArtWalk brings together the finest art in Scottsdale including 28 galleries, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West.
On Thursday, Jun. 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the event will take place throughout the Scottsdale Arts District — along Main Street from Scottsdale Road to Goldwater Boulevard and north of Indian School Road on Marshall Way to Fifth Avenue.
Refreshments and live entertainment designed to celebrate summer in Arizona will be made available for visitors to inspire a vacation vibe.
“We’re excited to share in the fun of June Days with the City of Scottsdale and present yet another fun opportunity for our art-loving community to support the local art scene,” French Thompson, president of the Scottsdale Gallery Association stated in the release.
In partnership with the City of Scottsdale, the SGA also presents eight Gold Palette ArtWalk events per year that feature a dedicated theme and activities including demonstrations and more.
The June Days ArtWalk, one of the eight annual Gold Palette events, will be set to the tunes of a live steel drum band.
“With some great music and delicious refreshments to cool things down on a beautiful Scottsdale evening — what more could you ask for?,” Mr. Thompson said.
Participating galleries will present special exhibits that pay homage to an Arizona summer and offer refreshing sips to keep guests cool.
