Peoria Unified School District to host spring field trip

Community residents invited to tour campus stops

Chef Donny Kelly focuses attention to the details of a garnish rose he created for his lemon dessert in Chef Poe’s Creative Foods Classes at Liberty High School, 9621 W. Speckled Gecko Dr., Peoria. Students are working on plating desserts with homemade lemon bars with triple berry sauce.

Later this month on Wednesday, March 25, Peoria Unified School District will host a spring field trip 8 a.m.-1:45 p.m. for community residents that will begin with breakfast and registration at Peoria High School, 11200 N. 83rd Ave., before the trip visits programs at Desert Harbor, Sahuaro Ranch and Ironwood High School.

The district’s culinary arts students will prepare and serve lunch.
