The city of Peoria announced that all 21 licensed sites of its AM/PM Before and After School Program have earned accreditation from the Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence.
This achievement underscores the program's commitment to providing a safe, enriching, and high-quality environment for youth in the community, according to a news release.
The accreditation process rigorously evaluates key aspects such as program quality, staff training, curriculum implementation, and the overall impact on student development.
By meeting the Arizona quality standards for out-of-school time programs, Peoria’s AM/PM program has proven its dedication to supporting student success and fostering positive growth, the release says. This milestone also assures families that their children are receiving reliable and engaging care before and after school.
Achieving full accreditation opens up new opportunities, including access to additional grants and enhanced Department of Economic Security reimbursement rates. This will support the continued growth and sustainability of the program, benefiting Peoria’s students and their families. Accreditation for each site is valid for three years.
