Peoria's 20th annual library card design contest is now open

Calling all young artists: Your design could be the next Peoria library card.

Peoria's 20th annual library card design contest is now open.

This year’s theme is “Color Our World.”

There are two age categories: ages 5–11 and ages 12–17.

The winner of each age group wins a $100 gift card.

Entries are due July 31. Download the application and template at https://peoria.polarislibrary.com/polaris/ or pick one up at any Peoria Public Library.

Contest guidelines:
• One entry per person, per age group
• Use the full space within the provided template
• All artwork must be hand-drawn (no digital art or photo editing)
• Use crayons, markers, colored pencils, or paint
• Artwork must be original and copyright-free
• Judging based on creativity, color, relevance to theme, and reproducibility
• All entries become the property of the City of Peoria
