Peoria Unified School District will host their semi-annual Fall Field Trip beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5 at Vistancia Elementary School, 30009 N. Sunrise Point.
The Fall Field Trip is an interactive, informative, and ideal way to introduce the community to Peoria Unified’s highly acclaimed schools and programs, according to a news release. The district welcomes elected officials, local business owners, community members and prospective parents to get an up-close look at what Peoria Unified students are learning in the classroom every day while building community connections.
District and school leaders will welcome guests with a continental breakfast and provide insight on the exciting things they will experience throughout the event.
Attendees will be greeted by students exemplifying Vistancia Elementary’s school spirit and will be led by students throughout their tours of classrooms.
Patrons can expect to step into a myriad of different experiences on campus, ranging from a math game lesson to participating in a steel drum class.
Wrapping up the morning, guests will reconvene to debrief on the experiences they had during the field trip.
Any interested individual must reserve a space at www.peoriaunified.org/fallfieldtrip, or call Peoria Unified’s Public Relations Department at 623-486-6100.
