Peoria to host virtual fair housing session

The city of Peoria will host a free online session focusing on fair housing issues related to disabilities, rentals and qualified service animals.

The session, in partnership with Peoria Support and the Southwest Fair Housing Council, will be 2-3 p.m. Thursday June 26. 

Covered topics included the difference between a qualified animal and a pet, a tenant's rights and responsibilities under the fair housingj laws, why disability-related discrimination makes up 60% of housing complaints nationwide, and how to spot discrimination.
