The Peoria Police Department’s SWAT team will be conducting a training exercise in collaboration with the United States Air Force at Luke Air Force Base March 10.
As part of this training, the Peoria Police Department will also be filming a SWAT recruitment video to highlight the skills, teamwork, and tactical expertise of the unit. This initiative aims to showcase the role of SWAT officers and encourage qualified candidates to consider a career with Peoria Police.
This training exercise is part of an ongoing effort to enhance tactical readiness and strengthen partnerships between Peoria Police and military personnel. Residents and those in the surrounding area may see Peoria Police SWAT officers and vehicles at the base; however, this is a planned training event. There is no active incident or threat to public safety.
