Peoria Police seek the public’s help in locating Maria Amarillas, a 12-year-old female.
She is described as a Hispanic female, 5-foot, 2 inches tall, approximately 99 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She is currently wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes with white stripes.
Maria was last seen on the afternoon of Dec. 19 at about 4 p.m., after she left her residence located near 83rd Avenue and Butler Drive. Family members are concerned for her well-being. It is unknown where she may have gone. Officers have been actively looking for Maria but have not been able to locate her. Maria is considered an endangered juvenile due to her age.
Maria does not have a cell phone with her. Anyone who sees Maria is encouraged to contact the Peoria Police Department at 623-773-8311.
