Peoria native finishes strong on Emerson College women's volleyball

Anna Phillips, of Peoria, and the Emerson College women's volleyball team finished strong in the 2022 fall season.

The team lost to Smith College in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Quarterfinals on Nov. 1, at the Brown and Plofker Gym, ending their 2022 Fall season.

The Lions finished their notable 2022 season with an overall record of 18-5 and a NEWMAC record of 7-3.

The team reached a regional ranking of no. 3 during the last week of the regular season.

Phillips is majoring in Writing, Lit Publishing and is a member of the Class of 2023.

Emerson College is based in Boston, Massachusetts, opposite the historic Boston Common and in the heart of the city's theatre district.

The college educates individuals who will solve problems and change the world through engaged leadership in communication and the arts, a mission informed by liberal learning. It has about 4,100 undergraduates and 550 graduate students from across the United tStates and nearly 70 countries.
