Peoria is seeking to fill a vacant volunteer seat on the personnel board

Posted

The City of Peoria is seeking to fill a vacant volunteer seat on the personnel board that is part of the city’s disciplinary appeal system.

You must be at least 18 years of age and a Peoria resident to apply.

For those looking to serve their city and those who have experience with employee or labor relations, this volunteer opportunity would be a good fit.

The personnel board is an unscheduled board that meets on an as-called basis.

Preference will be given to those with direct experience in employee relations, labor relations, or similar disciplines.
The role of the personnel board is to review the findings and recommendations of a hearing officer regarding employee suspension, demotion, and dismissal.

Although the personnel board does not take testimony or review evidence, the board does review information provided by hearing officers.
