Peoria Parks and Recreation offers classes for adults and youth designed to learn something new, build skills and stay active.

Here are three classes the city is offereing this month.

Adult Krav Maga Self-Defense
Location: Peoria Championship Martial Arts Studio 9800 N. 91st Ave., Suite 104
Train in the ICCS (Israeli Contact Combat System) Krav Maga method and become your own best defense. Learn practical techniques to defend against strikes, chokes, grabs, and weapon attacks from certified instructors.

Youth Drawing Classes – Young Rembrandts
Location: Rio Vista Recreation Center, 8866 W. Thunderbird Road

Let your child’s imagination soar with Young Rembrandts of the West Valley! In this weeklong workshop, kids will learn to cartoon, draw expressive characters, and create a large pastel masterpiece featuring fun monsters and animated poses.

Adult Fencing – Windy Hill Fencing
Location: Rio Vista Recreation Center, 8866 W. Thunderbird Road
Discover the art of fencing, a sport that builds agility, focus, and fitness. These classes are open to adults of all experience levels.
