Panthers long jump state title flows into preparation for 100th year of football

Of all the local athletes that suddenly leapt to track gold in the spring, none got a later start in the sport than Isaac Moreno.

The Peoria High junior was still a novice as a long jumper and was just learning how to triple jump — weeks after his rivals’ seasons began.
