Peoria, Glendale Police co-host Labor Day weekend DUI task force

The Peoria Police Department will join several West Valley agencies in a saturated DUI patrol around the city, starting Friday, Sept. 2.

The Peoria traffic services section will co-host with the Glendale Police Department for the West Valley DUI Task Force event, and will serve as a central facility to process DUI arrests initiated in and around the city of Peoria. The task force will have 40 to 50 officers participating, and will begin at 7p.m. Friday evening, and end around 4 a.m. on Saturday morning.

This event is funded through a grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.

The command post for the DUI Task Force will be set up at the Peoria Public Safety Administration Building at 8351 W. Cinnabar Ave.
