Westmarc has announced its Best of the West finalists for 2021.
The awards will recognize leaders who are making a difference in the West Valley.
There are four categories that will be recognized: Economic Engine, Excellence in Innovation, Quality of Life Enhancement in the Community, and Quality of Life Enhancement in Education.
Below are the finalists in each category:
• Economic Engine: Andersen Corporation and FLITE Goodyear Industrial;
• Excellence in Innovation: ASU J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute partnership with Peoria Forward and the city of Avondale’s NASCAR National Championship Watch Party;
• Quality of Life Enhancement in the Community: Goodyear Recreation Campus and Peoria Arts & Cultural Program;
• Quality of Life Enhancement in Education: West-MEC Southwest Campus and West Valley Microsoft Datacenter Academy.
The 29th Annual Best of the West Awards Dinner will be Oct. 21, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at State Farm Stadium, presented by the Arizona Cardinals.
