Peoria Diamond Club names endowment fund in honor of former leader

Organization will match donations in Rosalind Shanley's name

The Peoria Diamond Club has named their endowment fund in honor of former general manager Rosalind Shanley.

The organization's board of directors established the fund in 2021 to enable ongoing support for the youth of the West Valley, and they recently named the endowment fund to recognize Shanley's numerous contributions.

Shanley, who recently retired, has been involved with the Peoria Diamond Club for 15 years, providing her heart centered-leadership for the last five. Shanley was also recently recongized as a Peoria Independent Hometown Hero.

The nonprofit is asking the public to consider a financial gift in her name. The board will match the first $2,500 in gifts. Your generosity can live on through this named endowment. Checks should be made out to the Peoria Diamond Club and on the memo line please indicate Rosalind Shanley Endowment Fund. Checks should be mailed to the Diamond Club at 16101 N. 83rd Ave., Peoria, AZ 85382.

The Peoria Diamond Club is dedicated to supporting community programs that educate and enrich children’s lives, while enhancing their futures. Through partnerships, sponsorships, donations and volunteer efforts, the nonprofit raises funds for local youth charities and organizations.

The organization's volunteers participate in the daily operation of the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres spring training at the Peoria Sports Complex.
