Posted
Peoria celebrated the We Are One health health event, Oct. 10, at the Community Plaza Parking lot, 9516 W. Peoria Ave.
Peoria Councilmember Denette Dunn participated in the event that was held in the Pine District, which she serves.
Several community partners hosted the event which featured COVID-19 testing, mammograms, five minute informational seminars and more. The city of Peoria staff participated and provided information on current job openings, community engagement and community assistance programs.
In addition, the Peoria Fire-Medical Department administered 56 flu shots.
Dunn said the event was a successful collaboration of community partnerships.
