North Peoria to receive I Heart Mac & Cheese eatery

I Heart Mac & Cheese, a fast-casual concept specializing in made-to-order, customizable build-your-own macaroni and cheese bowls and grilled cheese sandwiches, announced the brand’s latest franchisee agreement to expand into north Peoria, according to a news release.

The Florida-based restaurant has a target opening of early spring 2021. Officials with the company told Independent Newsmedia the exact location and renderings are not yet available.

Franchisee James Maragh also inked signed for north Scottsdale and Gilbert locations.

“We learned the benefits and opportunity associated with franchising from our previous business ventures as a UBreakIFix franchisee, and when we saw the need to diversify, I Heart Mac & Cheese became an obvious choice,” Mr. Maragh said in the release. “The business partners chose I Heart Mac & Cheese over other franchise opportunities because they were attracted to its brand image, menu offerings and unique guest experience.”

The brand’s appeal to younger consumers and families guided their location strategy as they scouted potential sites in Arizona, according to the release.

The brand also has upcoming openings planned for Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina and Texas.
