Mariah’s Miracle raises money for pediatric therapy patients

Second annual cornhole tournament, fundraiser comes to The Cabin in Peoria

Posted

The second annual Mariah’s Miracle cornhole tournament and fundraiser is this weekend, 1-4 p.m., April 1, at The Cabin Whiskey and Grill, 9868 W. Northern Ave.

The cornhole tournament is one of the many events created by Mariah’s Miracle, a foundation establishing a fund to help Arizona pediatric therapy patients and their families offset the cost of therapy and equipment that insurance does not otherwise provide.

At 12:45 p.m., Mariah’s Miracle will introduce grant recipients and board members.

At 1 p.m., 60 teams will let their bags fly while enjoying an outdoor lunch and drinks catered by The Cabin Whiskey and Grill.

Mariah’s Miracle, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, was created in honor of pediatric physical therapist Mariah Devries, who died of cancer at the young age of 26, two months after giving birth to a beautiful baby girl, Clara.

Mariah’s Miracle further expands her life and legacy by establishing a fund to help pediatric therapy patients and their families offset the cost of therapy and equipment that insurance does not otherwise provide, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit this fund.

In 2022, Mariah's Miracle granted 17 pediatric patients over $76,000. Mariah’s Miracle cornhole tournament and fundraiser will add more than $20,000 to the general fund.
