Riverton Piano Co. and Arizona Broadway Theatre have formed a new, multiyear partnership designed to enhance live performance experiences for residents all over the West Valley.
In cooperation with its nonprofit “Pianos for Students Society,” Riverton will provide new pianos for daily rehearsals, performances, and intimate musical experiences at Arizona Broadway Theatre.
“Live performances encourage creativity, build empathy and inspire self-confidence,” said James Harding, director of sales and marketing at Riverton. “We know how vital performing arts organizations are and we are proud to partner with one as excellent and enthusiastic as Arizona Broadway Theatre – especially in the West Valley where the need for this kind of programming is so great.”
Once per year, Riverton will cycle out the loaner pianos and bring in new ones – ensuring Arizona Broadway Theatre will have top-quality instruments for rehearsals, live performances, and community outreach programs.
“Arizona Broadway Theatre strives to be at the heart of our culturally rich community. Together with Riverton Piano Co., we are elevating the arts education and entertainment we provide to the growing communities in the West Valley,” said Kiel Klaphake, executive producer and CEO at Arizona Broadway Theatre. “Riverton supplies the highest quality instruments, and we’re utilizing these pianos for rehearsals, educational youth programming, and our After Dark Cabaret performances at the theater.”
In addition to the piano loan program, Riverton and ABT will work together to provide promotional support for area events in an effort to give West Valley residents greater access to live performance experiences.
“Our plan is to host ABT Master Classes, interviews and ‘sneak peaks’ from time-to-time in our recital hall,” Harding said. “We also intend to collaborate on social media and YouTube over the next several years. We are excited to see this program grow and develop to better meet our community’s needs.”
Area residents are encouraged to follow both Riverton Piano Company and Arizona Broadway Theatre on social media – especially Facebook and YouTube where the pair are most active – for further details as this program unfolds.
