Litchfield Park Youth Council accepting applications

The city of Litchfield Park is looking for students interested in government and youth issues to serve on its Youth Council.

Membership is open to high school students who attend Millennium High School or who live in the 85340 ZIP code.

Youth Council members have an opportunity to learn about city government through hands-on activities, help city leaders better understand the needs and concerns of local youths,  participate in  community service projects, develop leadership skills and represent Litchfield Park youth at public functions, according to the city's website, litchfield-park.org.

Applications are due by Wednesday, July 30.
