Here's what you need to know about this year's fireworks show at Lake Pleasant

Fireworks are back on at Lake Pleasant.

Pleasant Harbor at Lake Pleasant and the city of Peoria will host the annual Celebrate America fireworks show on Monday, July 3, 2023.

Pleasant Harbor is home to this annual firework show, as well as food trucks, free kids’ activities, including water slide, bounce house and live concert featuring, Rock Lobster.

Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with fireworks at 9 p.m. and activities running through 10:30 p.m.

Presale parking admission through June 30 is $27.50 per vehicle and $35 per vehicle when purchased in July. Presale parking admission for vehicles with watercraft is $35 purchased through June 30 and $40 when purchased in July.

Parking admission can be purchased online at pleasantharbor.com or at the lake on the day of the event.

Coolers and lawn chairs are welcome. Canopies are allowed until sunset, then must be taken down.

There are a limited number of dry camping sites available for the 3rd of July celebration. Camp sites are $45 per day with a 4-night minimum purchase. Sites must be booked by phone at 623-235-6140.

Pleasant Harbor is the closest destination and entrance to Lake Pleasant, open to the public 365 days a year, and conveniently located off Carefree Highway and 87th Avenue, 8708 W. Harbor Blvd. Visitors exiting I-17, travel west on Carefree Highway, or take 99th Avenue North from Bell Road to Carefree Highway and then west to 87th Avenue to Harbor Boulevard.

“This is a great family event and there’s no better place to view the fireworks than on the shores of Lake Pleasant,” said Glen Vortherms, general manager of Maricopa Water District, owner and operator of Pleasant Harbor Marina. “With the colorful reflections of fireworks over the lake, it’s a magical sight.”
