Peoria Police arrested a man involved in the assualt and death of an Avondale woman who was struck by a car Monday.

Goodyear resident Lorenzo Colorado, 30, was arrested in Goodyear without incident about 12:47 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Colorado had been sought in the death of Katrinna Gutierrez, 27, of Avondale, who was struck by a car in the intersection of North 75th Avenue and West Golden Lane in Peoria, police said.

Police said Colorado and Gutierrez were arguing on the sidewalk of the intersection Monday night when Colorado assaulted Gutierrez and left her lying in the road, where she was struck by the car and died on scene.

Lorenzo was booked on the domestic violence related charges: second-degree murder, manslaughter, endangerment, and assault, police said.
