Funeral services set for Peoria police officer

Funeral services have been set for a Peoria police officer who died last week after a crash.
Services for Officer Jason W. Judd are as follows:
Visitation from 4-6 p.m. Monday, July 13 for family viewing, then 6-8 p.m. for public viewing, at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St., Phoenix, AZ 85020
Funeral is 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 14 at Christ’s Church of the Valley, 7007 W. Happy Valley Road, Peoria, AZ 85383
Honors will be immediately after services in the grass areas outside of the church.
A procession will follow at DECA Services, 2139 S. 15th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034. The exact route is to be determined.
COVID-19 precautions will be in place at all services, and police ask that people wear a mask and physical distance when possible.
Mr. Judd is survived by his wife, two sons, extended family members, friends and many co-workers.
On July 1, Mr. Judd was involved in a single-motorcycle collision after completing a demonstration at the department's Youth Citizen Police Academy at Liberty High School. Mr. Judd was transported by the Peoria Fire-Medical Department to a north Phoenix hospital, where he died from his injuries.
