Posted

Davita Solter, candidate for board bember of the Peoria Unified School District’s Governing Board, is a top choice.

Let me tell you why.

Educational experience. Davita knows education and will hit the ground running as a board member. Her excellent credentials include classroom teacher experience, building administrator expertise at both the elementary and secondary levels, and district-level competence. She is well-versed on educational budgets and finance laws, curriculum requirements and mandates, management of staffs and buildings, and student rights and responsibilities. Down-to-earth knowledge about schools is her strength.

Servant leader. Davita knows how to get things done. She has a vast list of community service activities and committees she has started and improved and completed. She presently works for the Glendale Elementary School District where she has initiated book fairs, blood drives, free flu shot clinics, staff competitions and activities. Service is her strength.

Team player. Davita knows how to work with people. She will never ask anyone to do something she won’t do herself. She is the first to arrive and the last to leave. She will be prepared and equipped to make difficult decisions fairly and thoughtfully. Teamwork is her strength.
