COVID-19 precautions nix annual event

Posted

FOODstock, scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at the Peoria Sports Complex, has been canceled due to precautions over the spread of COVID-19.

Peoria Sports Complex confirmed the cancellation on March 18.

The annual event, hosted by Get local AZ Food Truck Events and Get Local Arizona Events, features more than 50 food trucks inside the ballpark and on the field, plus a full bar with wine, beer and mixed drinks. The family-friendly event also includes free bounce houses, free barrel train rides, free face painting, and a splash pad ship.

Ticket proceeds were to be donated to two local, non profit groups to feed hungry kids in the West Valley, thanks to the Peoria Diamond Club.
