Now that extreme heat has landed in the Valley, it is particularly important to remember to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks in the shade or indoors whenever possible.

Extreme heat is here, as are hydration stations in Peoria

Now that extreme heat has landed in the Valley, it is particularly important to remember to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks in the shade or indoors whenever possible.

Peoria has hydration stations set up for those in need of water. These stations will be self-service and outside the city buildings in the shade. The will be available through September at the following locations.

  • 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, at Peoria Community Center, 8335 W. Jefferson St.
  • 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday; closed Friday; 1-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, at Peoria Main Library, 8463 W. Monroe St.
  • 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 1-5 p.m. Friday-Saturday; closed Sunday, at Sunrise Mountain Library, 21109 N. 98th Ave.
