Chuck Niday, owner of Sun City RV, 9045 W. Grand Ave., donated more than $5,000.00 to repair a 40-foot mobile adoption unit for All About Animals Rescue, a no-kill shelter established in 2010 to take-in, foster, support special needs and treat animals near end of life.
The founder, Dawn Cavanaugh, a non-compensated CEO for the past 11 years, has created and sustained the following programs for furry friends:
• Lease for Life: Adoptions of special needs animals
• Maternity Ward: Caring for and savings moms and new born
• Hospice Program: Proving loving end of life care
• AAA-Choo Cats: Medical trials supporting adopters of ill cats
• Companion Animals: Care of animals who need animal companionship
• Ringworm Camp: Fosters and treats animals until healed
Since Cavanaugh began her mission, All About Animals Rescue has taken in more than 12,000 cats and dogs utilizing 125 volunteers and 67 foster homes.
With the help of their 40-foot mobile unit, All About Animals Rescue frequently hosts weekend events at various Petco locations around the Valley. Any animal adopted from them is fully vetted and comes with a free visit to their veterinarian at Quail Crossing Animal Hospital. If there is ever a time an adopted animal cannot be cared for, they will gladly take the rescue back. R
