Dillon’s bachelor spin-off supports firefighters at Lake Pleasant

Posted

Dillon’s Kansas City BBQ is making waves with their Bayou Bachelor and Bachelorette Auction – a spin-off of the wildly popular reality television shows.

Bachelors and bachelorettes will be auctioned off to the highest bidder for a date, with proceeds benefitting the Firefighter Cancer Support Network, a nonprofit offering assistance and mentoring to thousands of cancer-stricken firefighters and their families.

The event, hosted live and lakeside at Dillon’s Bayou at Lake Pleasant, is more than flirtatious fun and games - the contestants and bidders are eager to support local firefighters and their families during really difficult times.

“I feel extremely honored to be a part of such an incredible cause, to have fun, raise money for the FCSN,” said one bachelor contestant.

Dillon’s KC BBQ hosts more than a dozen charitable events throughout the year, with the goal of galvanizing the community in support of local charities.

“Dillon’s cares. We love giving back to our neighbors and friends through local charities because this community is home and these people are family,” said George Valverde, owner of R&G BBQ Concepts.

Live bidding on the sizzling lineup of Bayou Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21 at the Dillon’s Bayou location, 40202 N. 87th Ave. The event is co-sponsored by Firehouse Subs.

Dillon’s Kona Kickoff Summer Party follows the auction with Kona Hawaiian dancers and live music from the band Breaking News.

Dillon’s Kansas City BBQ is an Arizona favorite featuring four elite, unique, and memorable locations in Litchfield Park, Glendale, Peoria and Morristown. Check out the menu and upcoming events at dillonsrestaurant.com.
