Posted

Construction continues for the Happy Valley Parkway Widening Project, Lake Pleasant Parkway to Loop 303.

Improvements include new curb and gutter; extension and connection of all existing sidewalks and multi-use trails along Happy Valley Parkway; traffic signal improvements at 115th Avenue and 100th Lane;  a connection to Lake Pleasant Pavilion Shopping Center; landscape improvements, and pavement microseal and restriping for six lanes of traffic.

In addition, the Agua Fria Bridge widening includes accommodation of six lanes of traffic, median barrier, and a 12-foot multi-use path behind separation barriers for pedestrians and bicyclists. Project completion is expected later this year.

The following sequencing is currently scheduled, weather permitting:

Tuesday, Sept. 29, beginning at 9 a.m., crews will microseal the curb lanes on the south side (eastbound) of Happy Valley Parkway between Lake Pleasant Parkway and the Agua Fria Bridge.

Wednesday, Sept. 30, beginning at 5 a.m. for westbound travel and 9 a.m. for eastbound travel, crews will microseal the lanes closest to the median and turn bays in Happy Valley Parkway between Lake Pleasant Parkway and the Agua Fria Bridge.

Thursday, Oct. 1, beginning at 5 a.m., crews will microseal the curb lanes on the north side (westbound) and at 9 a.m. begin the south side (eastbound) of Happy Valley Parkway between the Agua Fria Bridge and Loop 303.

Friday, Oct. 2, beginning at 5 a.m., crews will microseal the lanes closest to the median and turn bays in Happy Valley Parkway between Agua Fria Bridge and Loop 303.

If needed, any remaining pavement application may take place Saturday, Oct. 3.
