Centennial Future Business Leaders shine at regionals

Students from Centennial High School, 14388 N. 79th Ave., Peoria, performed well in the Future Business Leaders of America Region 3 Conference at ASU West, 4701 W. Thunderbird Rd., Glendale.

The Future Business Leaders of America is the largest and oldest business student organization in the world. More than 250,000 high school and middle school students, college and university students, faculty, educators, administrators, and business professionals are members of the business education association preparing students for careers in business. Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) education association.

First-place finishers from Centennial include: Thong Vo (Accounting 1 , Personal Finance); Carlos Moran, Cameron Rollings and Michael Nwazue (Banking and Financial); Chiamaka Nwazue and Kavya Walia (Digital Video Production); Michael Nwazue (Health Care Administration);  Diego De Leon, Ethan, Tyler Auguste (Management Information Systems); Justin Chen (Marketing); and Jens Lieske (Securities and Investments).

Vo also placed second, in Banking and Financial.

Third-place finishers include: Chiamaka Nwazue, Kavya Walia (Battle of the Chapters); Carlos Moran (Insurance and Risk Management); Logan Goulette, Jens Lieske, Duy Nguyen and Gloriana Pavey (Parliamentary Procedures); Timothy Fabuluje, Mack Johnson and Benjamin Ramos (Publication Design); and Logan Goulette (Public Speaking).
