Castle Hot Springs named one of top 500 resorts in world

Posted

Off the heels of being recognized as the no. 1 resort in Arizona in the 2021 World’s Best Awards, the 1,100-acre luxury desert retreat boasting world-class hot springs has been identified among the top 500 hotels and resorts around the globe.

Travel + Leisure announced the 2022 winners of the annual T+L 500 and included luxury desert oasis Castle Hot Springs.

Each year, the readers of Travel + Leisure vote for their favorite destinations, city hotels, resorts, and more in the annual World’s Best Awards survey. Drawing from the 2021 winners, Travel + Leisure recognizes the 500 best hotels around the globe, as voted by readers. Each edition of this roster of properties, divided into eight geographic regions, serves as a resource for travelers. In 2021, Castle Hot Springs was also recognized by Travel + Leisure as the no. 1 Resort in Arizona in the annual World’s Best Awards.

Providing travelers with the perfect respite surrounded by nature, Arizona’s first luxury and wellness resort originally made its debut in 1896 and has been re-established as one of the most idyllic luxury outdoor destination resorts in the country offering wellness, adventure and culinary experiences.

Once a western hideaway and retreat of choice for America’s titans of industry such as the Cabots, Vanderbilts, Wrigleys, Roosevelts, and Astors, Castle Hot Springs has hosted some of America’s most prominent families throughout the early 1900s. The destination weaves the rich and storied history throughout the resort, culminating in a tranquil desert oasis that encourages visitors to reconnect with their surroundings and unplug from the outside world.

The hideaway set against the Bradshaw mountains, just north of Peoria is a 30-room desert oasis boasting contemporary luxury in the heart of the Sonoran Desert. Allowing each guest experience to interact and immerse with the surrounding natural elements, Castle Hot Springs’ amenities and activities range from soaking in the mineral-rich geo-thermal hot springs to scaling new heights on the Via Ferrata adventure course, or a more leisurely tour and taste of the property’s award-winning and sustainably-driven farm to peruse and pick from an array of produce that is featured daily across the menus of the on-property dining destination, Harvest Restaurant.

This Spring, the property introduced a brand-new wellness menu with enhanced treatments, therapies, and body rituals that maximize the benefits of the hot springs’ unique mineral mixture – particularly rich in Lithium, Magnesium, and Bicarbonates which together help lift your mood, calm your mind, and ease physical stress. Additional new programming in 2022 includes a Gong Bath Sound Ceremony, mindfulness activities, a homegrown gardening workshop, scenic desert e-bike tour, and an ATV Razor tour.
