Park West shopping center, 9828 W. Northern Ave., and the American Red Cross are teaming up to host two blood drives this summer — the first 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 12, and the second 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 18.

Donors will receive a free American Red Cross t-shirt while supplies last.

The drives will be held in Park West’s Suite 1750, next to Merle Norman. Donors can schedule an appointment or get more information by calling 800-RED-CROSS or schedule online via www.redcrossblood.org using sponsor code ParkWest.

Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs a blood transfusion, according to the American Red Cross website.

Please note the Red Cross is not testing donors to diagnose illness, including COVID-19. If you feel unwell for any reason, please postpone your donation. Individuals who believe they may be ill with COVID-19 should not to donate until they are symptom free for 14 days and feeling well and healthy.
