Benevilla proudly hosted its Gratitude Celebration Luncheon on the afternoon of Nov. 12, at Arizona Broadway Theatre in Peoria.

This event celebrated individuals and organizations whose unwavering support, leadership, and generosity have profoundly impacted Benevilla’s mission and the northwest Valley community.

The awards recognize the vital contributions of community champions, underscoring the idea that “It Takes a Village” to support and uplift the community.

This year’s honorees were celebrated for their exceptional service, dedication, and partnership with Benevilla.

This year’s Bill Wolfrey Community Service Award was presented to Roberta Uible-King Walgren and Eloise M. Reynolds, affectionately known as the “Dynamic Duo.” Both women have been integral to Benevilla’s success since its early days as Interfaith Community Care.

• Roberta Uible-King Walgren served as an employee and volunteer with Benevilla from 2002 to 2014, leaving a lasting legacy of kindness, humor, and dedication to service. As the leader of Benevilla’s Chez Nous Café in Sun City West, Uible-King Walgren was known for her infectious energy and generosity, gifting delightful socks during the holiday season and brightening the days of everyone she met.

• Eloise M. Reynolds has been a steadfast volunteer for 16 years and a faithful donor. After moving to Sun City West in 2005, Reynolds found a place to belong at Chez Nous Café, building meaningful friendships and becoming
part of the Benevilla family. Her spirit of giving and long-term support continue to sustain Benevilla’s programs and services.

“Roberta and Eloise embody the true essence of Benevilla’s mission. Their generosity, warmth, and dedication have had a profound impact on our organization and the community,” said Joanne Byers, president and CEO of Benevilla.

Business Leadership Award: The Business Leadership Award was presented to Landmark CPAs and Financial Advisors, a multi-
generational family business with a deep-rooted commitment to giving back to the community.

Landmark has been a valued Signature Sponsor of Benevilla for many years, generously supporting its programs and services while actively engaging with its annual events. The company’s staff have served on Benevilla’s board of directors and committees, providing invaluable expertise and guidance. Landmark has also partnered with Benevilla to educate the community about charitable giving through programs like the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit Program.

“Landmark CPAs and Financial Advisors have been steadfast champions of the Benevilla mission,” Byers said. “Their dedication to philanthropy and service is an inspiration to all.”

Gary Frisch, on behalf of Landmark, said Benevilla and the west Valley community hold a special place in their hearts.

“We are proud to support Benevilla’s mission and look forward to many more years of collaboration and service,” he said.

Guests gathered at the Arizona Broadway Theatre for an uplifting afternoon celebrating the honorees and their contributions to Benevilla and the northwest Valley. The event featured lunch, impact videos, guest speakers and award presentations showcasing the transformative impact of community partnership and philanthropy.

Benevilla extends its heartfelt gratitude to the honorees and the many donors, volunteers, and community partners who continue to support its mission of enriching lives through innovative programs and compassionate care.
