Ever wanted to see your first responders face off on the football field?

Attend the Battle of the Badges 5 p.m. April 26 at Liberty High School, 9621 W. Speckled Gecko Drive, as the Eastside Sentinels take on the Westside Warriors.

This special event honors two heroes:

• Phoenix Police officer Tyler Moldovan, who was critically injured in the line of duty in 2021;

• Peoria Fire-Medical Capt. Jeremy Gibbons, who is currently fighting occupational cancer.

All proceeds from the game will go directly to benefit these heroes and their families.

Several public safety agencies throughout the Valley will have displays set up along with a chance to meet and greet first responders. Come out and see some SWAT vehicles, patrol cars, motorcycles, etc.

This event will also feature food trucks and bounce houses for kids.

Here is a schedule of events listed below:

5-6:45 p.m.: Public Safety Display/contest among agencies (fire vehicles and police vehicles)/car show/food trucks/ice cream truck

5:30-6 p.m.: Teams will begin to warm up for game

6:30 p.m.: Team introductions (name, number and department they work for)

6:45 p.m.: Introduction of honorary captains (50-yard line)
