Appointments available for Peoria household hazardous waste collection

The city of Peoria will begin scheduling appointments for the collection of household hazardous waste on Monday, Oct. 2.
Collection begins Monday, Oct. 16 and will conclude Friday, Nov. 3.
Acceptable Items:
Household chemicals marked dangerous
Paint thinners
Pesticides/insecticides
Oil based paint (limit five gallons per household)
Rechargeable batteries
Auto batteries
Gasoline (limit five gallons per household)
Motor oil (limit five gallons per household)
Antifreeze (limit five gallons per household)
Aerosol cans
Unacceptable Items:
Ammunition
Appliances
Electronics
Radioactive materials
Explosives
Medical waste
Prescription drugs
Sharps
Commercial waste
Latex paint
Tires
