Apply for the Youth Citizen Police Academy in Peoria

Check out the Youth Citizen Police Academy for seventh or eighth grade students.
Attendees will learn about the daily roles and responsibilities of police officers. Some of the activities include alcohol/DUI goggles and carts, fingerprinting, a SWAT presentation, team building, crime reporting, K-9 presentation and much more.
The youth academy is free and successful participants will receive a t-shirt and a certificate upon completion.
Academies will run four different weeks with each session lasting four days.
Interested students must be entering seventh or eighth grade students.
in the fall of 2023, and participants must reside within Peoria or attend a school within the Peoria city limits.
