PHOENIX – Drivers should plan for detours Jan. 24-27 when westbound Interstate 10 closes between Loop 202 in Chandler and Interstate 17 northwest of downtown Phoenix.
The Arizona Department of Transportation announced a traffic shift will require the shutdown from 10 p.m. Friday until 4 a.m. Monday.

The following ramps will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday:
Westbound I-10 detour: Use eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) to northbound Loop 101 to westbound Loop 202 to access westbound I-10 beyond the closure, state transportation officials said.
Drivers heading to the West Valley can bypass the closure by using Loop 202 west (South Mountain Freeway) and north to connect with I-10 at 59th Avenue.
Drivers traveling westbound on I-10 and US 60 heading to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport should use northbound Loop 101 thought Chandler and Tempe to westbound Loop 202 and use the 44th Street entrance.
