The Singletons will host its fifth annual fundraising event, “Swing Into Spring,” Saturday, March 22, at a private home in Paradise Valley.
An evening of celebration, community and unforgettable experiences - all in support of single-parent families facing the challenges of cancer, the fundraiser will feature culinary delights and cocktails from local chefs and restaurants.
“Swing Into Spring” will feature food from the Valley’s most talented chefs, live music, handcrafted cocktails and a silent and live auction. The event will include heartfelt stories that bring The Singletons’ mission to life.
The Singletons HUB is located in north Phoenix, where they pack food for single-parent families battling cancer and stock a supply closet with the “bare essentials” to ease the financial burden for cancer patients, according to a press release.
The Singletons support single moms and dads of young children who are dealing with a cancer diagnosis and treatment, preparing meals as well as essential items like toiletries and paper towels that are not covered by SNAP. They also create birthday boxes so that families essentially have a party in a box.
The Singletons is always looking for volunteers to help in the kitchen (located on Bell Road near the 51 freeway) and also birthday party-related items and toys all year round.
Tickets for “Swing Into Spring” are $150 per person.
