SmokeTree Resort revitalization open houses slated for Oct. 21

Virtual and in-person programs available for Paradise Valley residents

Posted

The team working to revitalize the SmokeTree Resort property in Paradise Valley will hold open house events for Paradise Valley residents on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The in-person portion of the open house will be done in a socially distanced manner, and will be from 6 to 7 p.m. at the SmokeTree Resort’s former restaurant space at 7101 E. Lincoln Drive in Paradise Valley.

Project team members will be available to answer questions, and the public will have a chance to review new fact sheets on the project as well as new project visuals, according to a press release.

Additionally, the project team will be available via a Zoom open house from 7 to 8 p.m. that same day.

The SmokeTree Resort has been part of the Paradise Valley community since 1966.

Gentree LLC purchased the resort in 2018 and is  proposing a redevelopment of the property that would honor its history and rustic charm while creating a significant new gathering place for Paradise Valley residents and a new resort while revitalizing a property that is at the gateway to Paradise Valley.

The new resort will feature 122 guest rooms, a destination dining experience, and public gathering and event spaces. It will be designed to combine a rustic, southwestern feel with modern touches and amenities, the press release stated.
