Smith College Club of Phoenix alumnae, friends and current students connected Jan. 5 at the club’s 30th annual Rose & Ivy Brunch, held at Paradise Valley’s Lon’s at the Hermosa Inn.

The club saw record attendance at the college in the fall of 2019, with 28 students enrolled, one of whom currently studies abroad, according to a press release.

The annual January brunch, the club’s signature event, highlights the experiences of its local young women at the college and facilitates camaraderie and networking among Smith alumnae and guests.

Smith College serves a diverse group of students from many nationalities and backgrounds. From their first year on campus, students have access to the college’s award-winning Lazarus Center for Career Development. The center’s “By Design” vision for career development features customized programs to pinpoint and facilitate post-graduate futures.

Representing alumnae from the Valley to northern Arizona, the club seeks to encourage high school students of promise and high ability to consider Smith and is committed to linking returning graduates with jobs and internships in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
