In 1964, Sharon married Richard. In 1965, Sharon and Richard moved to Neenah, WI where Sharon began an active volunteer career with the drama program at a local high school, Meals on Wheels, and at a local thrift shop benefitting charities. Sharon and Richard had two children, Brian and Katharine, in Neenah. In 1980 Sharon, Richard, Brian, and Katharine moved to York, PA. After 15 years, Sharon and Richard retired to Paradise Valley, AZ in 1995 to follow their passion of collecting Native American art and traveling the world. Sharon will be remembered for her love of mystery novels, her gourmet cooking, and her devotion to all those she loved. She cherished her friendships and loved learning about cultures around the world. She was involved with her church, including the group which made quilts for foster children. She brought back recipes from all her travels to share with others to celebrate different cultures and enjoyed cooking as an expression of love. Sharon was feisty even as she battled cancer and went through chemotherapy. Sharon said that she wanted people to remember the happy times.
