The Scottsdale Symphonic Orchestra’s last show of the season, May 11 at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, 7380 E. Second St., is themed Connected Through Music.”
The concert features cellist Peter Eom playing the Cello Concerto in B Minor, Op. 104 by Antonin Dvorak, as well as Henry Flurry’s Fanfare for My City and William Grant Still’s Symphony #1, “Afro-American,” according to a press release.
A special, pre-concert chat, “Behind the Baton”, will be hosted by Maestro Desmond Siu immediately prior to the concert at 3:15 pm and will feature the inside stories behind the music in a conversational and intimate format. This 20-minute session will include time for questions and is included in the price of each concert ticket.
